In addition to our Estate Pinot Noir, which is comprised of a blend of up to 5 clones of Pinot Noir grown in our estate vineyard, we bottle small batches of individual clones and release them to our Allocation Club members each year. These are called our "Estate Small Block Collection" wines. Members also enjoy exclusive access to our "Robert's Reserve" Estate Pinot Noir and exclusive access to our Library wines.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Estate Reserve"

Release Price: $48.00

A special blend of all of our Estate Small Block Collection wines goes into our Estate Reserve - a wine specially made for our Allocation Club members. Our Estate Reserve is a bright coastal California Pinot Noir with good structure, minerality, and balance.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Wild One"

Release Price: $48.00

Only a few cases of our "Wild One" were made in 2009. Brandon took a barrel of wine off our "Triple Seven" block Pinot Noir and let it naturally ferment using wild yeast.

This was the first experiment using wild yeast, and it's always an uncertainty the first time if there would be enough wild yeast or quality natural yeast present to ferment the grapes adequately and yield a structured, balanced, delicious wine.

Strikingly different from our other wines, the "Wild One" is less fruit forward than our other estate wines, has much more earthiness, and is bold and delicious.

The "Wild One" is only available to Allocation Club members, but since only a small quanitity was made, will not be included in any of the regular shipments. To ensure you get to try this special wine, order some today!

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Triple Seven"

Release Price: $48.00

Of all of our 2009 Estate Small Block Collection wines, the Triple Seven is expressing the most individuality. It has all the classic Pinot Noir characteristics one would expect like cherry and berry aromas, a medium body, and a smooth finish. Yet this Pinot Noir mixes it up with playful additions like cola, lavender, leather, and rose petals.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Six Sixty Seven"

Release Price: $48.00

An overwhelming crowd pleaser, our Six Sixty Seven is a fun representation of Pinot Noir. Bright berry fruit like raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry are present in the bouquet that is rounded out by subtleties of toffee, vanilla, and black tea. It has earthiness; it has spice; and the Six Sixty Seven has an extraordinary finish.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Eight Two Eight"

Release Price: $48.00

Naturally darker in color than other Pinot Noir clones, our Eight Two Eight offers bold aromas of strawberry, coffee, root beer and spice. A more earthy representation of Pinot Noir, the tannins of this wine are subdued by its nice acidity, resulting in a luscious wine.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "One Fifteen"

Release Price: $48.00

2009 is the 1st release of the One Fifteen off of our estate. Bright aromas of cherry, plum and currant dance with vanilla, hints of dark chocolate and forrest floor. A very well balanced and structured wine, it also has nice bright acidity and tannins, which will lend well to long aging.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Pommard Clone"

Release Price: $58.00

A beautiful bouquet of rich berry and spice introduces you to our 4th vintage of 100% Estate grown Pommard Clone Pinot Noir. 2008 Estate Pinot Noir "Roberts' Reserve"

Release Price: $85.00

Barrel aged 20 months in the finest French oak, and with less than 15 cases produced, Roberts' Reserve is a unique blend of our Estate Pinot Noir clones, personally designed by proprietors Robert E. & Robert B. Brassfield for their private family cellar.

With aromas of cola, cranberry, and the perfect touch of toast, this rare wine has a rich mouthfeel. Velvet in structure, yet with nice tannins.

2009 Estate Pinot Noir "Roberts' Reserve"

2008 Estate Pinot Noir

Release Price: $48.00 / Library Price: $58.00

89 Points By Wine Enthusiast

Released in the fall of 2010 to our Allocation Club members and to the public this spring of 2011, we are excited about the reception our 2010 vintage has had with people. Starting off with an eye catching rich garnet color, this wine has dark cherry and smoke char on the nose. Easily approached with its silky, velvety mouth feel, this Pinot Noir has accents of spice with a fruit forward aftertaste that lingers on your palate.

Wine Enthusiast Review:

"Solidly in the winery's style, a big, ripe, bold Pinot Noir, rich in fruit and oak, yet dry, with considerable tannins. Strong in raspberries and cherries, yet the structure maintains elegance. Fine now and over the next four years."

2008 Estate Pinot Noir "Triple Seven"

Release Price: $52.00 / Library Price: $62.00

90 Points By Wine Enthusiast

In name and in characteristics, our "777" clone is our most playful Estate Small Block Collection bottlings, and has been a crowd pleaser since day one. A strawberry shortcake-like nose with plumb hints greets you, and you are rewarded with a wine of nice balance due to good minerality, acid and earth. Hints of orange zest and licorice tease your varietal senses a bit at times, but the contrasting hints of vanilla and butterscotch solidify it as distinctly Pinot Noir.

Wine Enthusiast Review:

"A big Pinot Noir, darkly colored and full-bodied in the mouth. The depth of fruit is impressive, packing a solid core of black cherreis and plums. Might gain some bottle notes over the next 4-6 years."

2008 Estate Pinot Noir "Six Sixty Seven"

Release Price: $52.00 / Library Price: $62.00

90 Points by Wine Enthusiast

Our Six Sixty Seven Clone of Pinot Noir is expressed by aromas of darker fruits such as blackberry and black current, and is balanced with notes of toffee and brown sugar. Again, hints of cinnamon are present on the palate, along with a touch of leather. Our "667" clone always awards its taster with a nice long, delicious finish on the back palate.

Wine Enthusiast Review:

"Bold and ripe in cherry jam flavors. Oak brings buttered toast to the mix. Delicious and savory, this Pinot is solidly in the ripe California style of forward fruit and immediate flash. Drink now and through 2004."

2008 Estate Pinot Noir "Eight Two Eight"

Release Price: $52.00 / Library Price: $62.00

87 Points By Wine Enthusiast

Possibly the most distinct Pinot Noir clone out of the ones we grow on our property, our "828" clone is making quite a name for itself! The berry accents of raspberry and strawberry are not at all overpowered in this wine, but a noticeable presence of truffle, tea, pepper and leather makes this our most bold bottling.

Wine Enthusiast Review:

This Pinot is all about upfront raspberries, cherries, cola, and sweet red plums, accented with smoky, caramelized oak. It's not one to age, but offers plenty of rich, California-style ripeness now."

2008 Estate Pinot Noir "Pommard Clone"

Release Price: $58.00 / Library Price: $68.00

90 Points by Wine Enthusiast

As you enter the vineyard gates, our Pommard block is the lone block to the left of the road facing south/south-west. The yield on our Pommard is less than 2 barrels per year, and is the crowd favorite among our Allocation Club members. Aromas of rose and bright red cherry invite you to taste, and the palate translates well with the addition of cinnamon and a lingering cola quality. This wine is perfectly balanced and simply delicious.

Wine Enthusiast Review:

"Earns its stripes for the sheer power of raspberry and cherry fruit that defines its California ripeness. Firm tannins and acidity fortunately provide balance, and the wine finishes dry. An opulent, extravagant Pinot Noir that will provide lusty drinking over the next six years."

2007 Estate Pinot Noir

93 Points by PinotReport / 92 Points by David Tong

Our 2007 Estate Pinot Noir is an expressive and full-body Pinot Noir - defined by finesse. Previewed by the Brix Chicks, they wrote that "this Pinot is the darker, more concentrated, voluptuous style of California Pinot Noir with aromas of cherry liqueur and cocoa. The palate tastes of dark red fruits and cinnamon spice. There is a lovely note of espresso on the finish." Also reviewed by David Tong during Pinot Paradise 2010 and the SCMWA trade tasting, he wrote "the palate has dark fruit; brambly notes and a long finish. Nose has pear drops and smoke, flavors of rich black cherry with plenty of tannin."

2007 Estate Pinot Noir "Triple Seven"

Release Price: $52.00 / Library Price: $72.00

Allocation Club Only

The Prince of Pinot, Rusty Gaffney, visited Heart O' The Mountain and reviewed our wines in his newsletter (www.princeofpinot.com). He wrote, "Aged 20 months in French Oak. Unfined, unfiltered. Deep color. Brooding nose showing ripe dark stone fruits, a hint of oak char and barnyard. Plenty of rich, plush and very ripe plum fruit fans out on the palate. The oak is a subtle accent, the texture is all velvet, and the finish lingers. A bold and aggressive wine that will appeal to lovers of hedonistic fruit. Very good."

2007 Estate Pinot Noir "Pommard Clone"

Release Price: $58.00 / Library Price: $78.00

92 Points By Wine Enthusiast

Also reviewed by The Prince of Pinot (www.princeofpinot.com) Rusty wrote, 100% new French oak. 100% de-stemmed, whole berry fermentation. Unfined and unfiltered. Only available to Wine Club members. Enticing and penetrating aromas of subtlety-spiced cherries which carry over to the flavor profile. Beautifully composed and harmonious with plenty of finesse to charm. One of the best Pinot Noirs tasted on this trip. The Pommard clone thrives on this site.

2006 Estate Pinot Noir

Release Price: $48.00 / Library Price: $78.00

94 Points at the 2009 Pinot Shootout Competition

Our 2006 vintage exudes a big, outspoken and gregarious nature, while still retaining the elegance, balance and velvety mouth-feel that are the signature characteristics of the fruit from our estate vineyard. The 2006 was a wild one at harvest, coming out the gate a little earlier and at a slightly higher harvest brix than years past; and that quality is readily apparent right off the bat with aromatic notes of black cherry, plum and rich raspberry. On the palate, the soft supple tannins and spicy backbone fill the mouth, all the while revealing an artfully oaked, fruit forward wine.

2006 Estate Pinot Noir "Pommard Clone"

Release Price: $58.00 / Library Price: $78.00

As first release of Pommard & as our first release of our Estate Small Block Collection wines, the 2006 Pommard Clone sold out quickly and became an instant favorite among members, friends, and family. Perfectly ripe fruit yielded a wine of subtlty, sophistication, and elegance. Aromas of fresh strawberry and rose petals transformed into a silk-like mouthfeel and delicious balance.
